Biography

Thomas Jefferson was a man of boundless genius and soaring vision. With the might of his pen, he articulated the very creed of our nation in the Declaration of Independence. Though he was in France during the Constitutional Convention, his ideas on liberty and individual rights profoundly influenced its creation, especially his forceful correspondence demanding a Bill of Rights. As President, he doubled the size of the country with the Louisiana Purchase, a bold act of a leader who saw a continental destiny for America.
