Biography
Robert Morris, the 'Financier of the Revolution,' was a man whose financial genius was as vital to American independence as any general's sword. At the Convention, his reputation was immense. Though he spoke little, his presence and support lent enormous credibility to the proceedings. He nominated his friend George Washington to preside over the convention. As a signer, he signaled to the financial world that the new government was a sound investment, a nation built to last.
